Covid News

Welcome to Weardale, part of the North Pennines AONB.

Our cottage was risk assessed last year in light of Covid-19 following guidance from the Government, the Health & Safety Executive, Visit Britain, and in association with our holiday agents, Pennine Country Cottages.

From July 2021, with the easing of restrictions, our current practice will be to remain with our Covid risk assessment.

We are certified by Visit England as 'Good to Go' in terms of Covid guidelines, policies and cleaning regimes, and also awarded the 'Safe Travels' logo from the World Travel & Tourism Council.  Our risk assessment can be sent to you prior to your arrival, but is also available in our cottage for you to read.

The safety of you, our guests, is paramount, but following the easing of restrictions, we have re-introduced non-essential items back into our cottage. These include books, maps and DVDs, hairdryers and hot water bottles.

However, we cannot guarantee to deep clean these items individually between visits during busy times, so please use your own initiative and good common sense when handling these items.

The full extent of crockery and cutlery has returned, and we simply ask that you please be mindful of cleanliness before and after use.

Have a wonderful time here in Weardale whilst you're with us.
